In Kamchatka and on the islands of the Kuril ridge, combat teams from the divisions of Bastion coastal missile systems of the Pacific Fleet, as part of a bilateral exercise of force groups, conducted a simulated missile attack on a detachment of mock enemy ships.
According to the training plan, the combat vehicles marched over rough terrain from deployment points to positional areas. Along the routes, the units protecting the convoys destroyed the mock enemy reconnaissance and sabotage groups (DRGs), ensuring the safe deployment of the missile systems.
Mobile launchers were quickly positioned in the specified areas with pre-equipped positions. The missile crews prepared the complexes for use within the established regulatory deadlines and then conducted electronic launches of Onyx missiles at targets simulating an amphibious detachment of a mock enemy, preventing an amphibious landing on the coast.
